DEFINITIONS
Applicant: A person applying for membership to Benoni Northerns Football Club for purposes of playing in the football league.
BNFC: Benoni Northerns Football Club, a sub-division of the Benoni Northerns Sports Club.
BNSC: Benoni Northerns Sports Club.
Club: Reference to Benoni Northerns Sports Club, the over-arching club of all sub-sections including Benoni Northerns Football Club.
ELFA: Easterns Football League Association.
Member: A person having registered and having been accepted to Benoni Northerns Football Club and in good standing with their subscriptions.
Parent: A biological or adopted guardian of the member or applicant.
Guardian: The responsible care giver for the applicant/member if under the legal age of 18 years old.
SAFA: South African Football Association.
Spectator: Defined as the applicant’s or member's including applicant's family (immediate or displaced), friends, colleagues or acquaintances.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The applicant (or parent or guardian on behalf of the applicant if under the legal age of 18 years) hereby applies for membership or membership renewal at Benoni Northerns Football Club, for the duration of the current financial year, and agrees to the following:
That the details specified on the registration form submitted electronically are correct.
That the applicant will abide by the rules, Constitution and Codes of conduct of the Benoni Northerns Sports Club and the sub-sections/sporting disciplines in respect of which the applicant wishes to become a member.
That the applicant shall assist the club in the development of sportsmanship and behave in a manner that shall enhance the overall reputation of the Club and the applicant's growth in sport, and that coaching shall be left to the coaches.
That all sporting activities arising from the applicant’s membership of the Club are undertaken at the applicant's and spectator’s own risk. The applicant indemnifies the Club and its member’s should any injury or harm befall the applicant, member or spectator whilst undertaking any such activities.
That the applicant shall pay the fees and/or agree in writing with the BNFC Chairman, terms on which to pay the fees as specified on this electronic membership form of the Club and the sections/sporting disciplines in which the applicant wishes to participate, immediately on receipt of an invoice from the Club.
That the applicant acknowledges and is aware that the Club administration fee and the section fee are non-refundable fees incurred on acceptance of the applicant and shall not be refunded to the applicant in the event of membership termination prior to the end of the financial year.
That failure to pay the fees and abide by the rules, Constitution and Codes of conduct of the Club and the sections/sporting disciplines in respect of which the applicant wishes to become a member may result in the termination of membership from the Club, in which event the applicant shall remain liable for payment of all fees due at the date of the termination.
The applicant acknowledges that he/she is aware that the Club administration fee and the section fee are non-refundable fees incurred on acceptance of the applicant and shall not be refunded to the applicant in the event that the football league and/or training is suspended or terminated due to COVID-19 restrictions as set by ELFA or the South African government.
IMDEMNITY
The applicant is aware that neither Benoni Northerns Sports Club, sub-sections or enrolled member’s accept responsibility for any loss, injury, illness or damage that the person or property of the applicant may sustain whilst engaged in any football activities.
That the applicant shall waive any right that he/she and/or spectators may have to claim compensation against Benoni Northerns Sports Club or any of its members or opposing teams in respect of any loss, damage, illness or injury incurred whilst engaged in any football activity whatsoever arising and whether as a result of negligence or otherwise and he/she indemnify them against all claims.
POPIA
BNFC retains your personal information for legislation purposes. BNFC shall not sell or rent your personal information to any third party or use your email address for unsolicited mail. Any emails sent by BNFC shall only be in connection with the provision of our services and/or marketing thereof.
BNFC is obliged to share your information with ELFA and/or SAFA for purposes of processing the applicant’s registration to enroll in the seasons (winter or summer) football league.
As far as reasonably possible, BNFC as a club have implemented safeguards to protect your personal information.
